April 30th, 2011 - Julie & Jeremy - Elegance & Rock

Julie & Jeremy were a complete joy to work with.  When I first met with Julie....we didn't actually meet.  We missed eachother and with our combined busy schedules and their wedding date approaching fast, I conducted her complimentary consultation by phone.  We met at Cannery Ballroom to take a look around for design ideas and she handed me a signed agreement and a check.  THERE is a bride who knew what she wanted!

My favorite design picture from the night:

Julie knew from the start that she wanted to incorporate wine bottles into the reception as centerpieces.  I LOVED that she didn't want to change the labels or go with the common monograms we all see at weddings these days.

Every other table was adorned with tall willow branches, roses, and hanging crystals.  All tables were lit by white tea lights.  Guest tables were covered in pewter linens & food tables in purple.  The flowers we used were a mix of pinks, purples, greens, and white.  The result was absolutely beautiful.

Some vases were white, some were black, most were clear.  The brick walls, wood beams, and exceptional lighting by Nashville Event Lighting made a HUGE impact on the overall ambiance of the evening.

I started out as the Day-of Coordinator and quickly became florist & designer!  Julie & I walked through Import Flowers and selected the flowers we wanted for bouquets & centerpieces.  I picked up all the flowers the morning of the wedding (spilling only one bucket of water inside my car) and with several helpers, we put together all of the boquets, centerpieces, bar & window arrangements.

Cafe lights.  They'll never get old.  I just love the impact they make.  Same goes for tea light candles.

Details on Julie's dress.  It was absolutely stunning.

I bought a chandelier off craigslist, spray painted it & arranged flowers inside to create this look:

I was very fortunate to have Julie's lovely Mother & sister-in-law help me put together these giant willow branch centerpieces.
